Be happy it happened. We feel blessed to have spent the past week with these campers, and we wish everyone the best summer! So long!

Today was quite the day at Overture Camp! The little lambs we made yesterday found themselves astray in the woods at the nature center, so the campers got to take a little hike outside to find them again! Back at the theatre, we learned a new song: Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. We even made some sparkly stars of our own, and Mrs. Connie read us an awesome story about counting stars. Things are all shaping up for our performance tomorrow at 11:30am--and we're super excited about it!
Today we went over all of our songs and dances AND learned another song- Mary Had a Little Lamb! Miss Susan brought a LOT of instruments and we had an amazing music circle, which the kids really enjoyed. Day 2 is in the books and it was awesome! We became mice running from the scary cat, danced on our way to school, got our hands super messy, and read a fun pirate story with Mrs. Susan. Can't wait to see everybody tomorrow!!!! Such a smooth & fun first day! The campers are getting along swimmingly, and we love working with every single one of them. Today we met a shark named JD, learned a song & dance about getting ready in the morning, created our costumes for Friday (sneak peak below) & read a story with Ariel called Giraffes Can't Dance. LATER GATOR! |
