Today we did our auditions! We started off warming up with some Captain on Deck, then went right into it. We started with vocals, singing "Alone in the Universe", then on to dance, where we did our Green Eggs and Ham dance in groups of 4-5, then finished with acting, reading a selection from either "And to Think That I saw it on Mulberry Street", "The Lorax", or "If I Ran The Circus". After lunch, we did some acting exercises while smaller groups were called for call-backs. We played some Assassin to teach observation, Sound Garden to teach how disparate parts can make a whole, Kitty wants a Corner and Do You Love Your Neighbor to teach nonverbal communication and coordination, and we balanced the space while counting together for coordination and learning how to move past mistakes. Tomorrow's another busy day, so we look forward to working with you then! See you tomorrow!
