Today was the last day of camp! We're all done! As always, we started off warming up with some dancing and a fun game of Captain on Deck. We then practiced our songs one last time before the final show, and had some fun playing piano and singing! Have a great summer!

Today is the last day before the big performance! We made our surfboards today and they all look pretty gnarly! We're looking forward to showing them off tomorrow! We finished up another day! Today we got more singing and dancing done and improved our performance! We had a productive day! After our warm-up dance, we split up the boys and the girls and each worked on our parts. The boys practiced their song "When I Grow Up To Be A Man" while the girls worked on "Wouldn't It Be Nice"! We did some great singing and dancing and even figured out a few solos! We then showed off our work to each other so we can see how good we're getting! After snack, we ran through the whole show! We're getting ready for the final performance, so see you tomorrow for more acting! Things are coming along nicely! We started off today by building a neat machine! Everyone had a function and a sound and we all were part of an awesome whole! We worked on our individual songs today and both the boys and the girls sound great! We might even have some solos! The songs are up here today, so listen if you want! We did some good work on our Wipeout dance and practiced Surfin' USA to end the day. Tomorrow we're doing some artistic work, so be sure to wear something that can get dirty! See you then! Another day, another dance! We started by warming up to Ghostbusters! I ain't afraid of no ghost! After that we learned how to play Giants, Wizards, and Elves! We learned an awesome dance to Surfin' USA after that. Everyone was hanging ten and looking great! We did a read-through of our script after that and are sounding better every day as we learn our parts. Tomorrow will be just as awesome and productive, so see you then! One week done! We've made some great progress and done some really good work this week. Today, we started off with our warmup dance, then split into separate groups again. The boys worked on their Surfin' USA song, while the girls improved the Wipeout dance! After snack today, we got our scripts! We did a full read-through and now we can memorize our lines and learn our parts! We finished with a game of Captain on Deck. We have a lot left to do, and we look forward to seeing you on Monday! Things are coming along nicely after day 4! We started out with our dancing and did a Walk About! This helped us learn about how to manage your personal space when you have a crowded stage so no one bumps together! We worked on our dances and our songs today too! The girls and the boys worked separately and got a lot done! You can see a bit of this progress in this video from yesterday! After that we made some awesome necklaces for our show! Another day, another dance! We started off dancing to warm up, then learned our stage positions. After that, on to working on Surfin' USA! We got the lyrics and learned what and when to sing! We also practiced our Wipeout dance and learned our stage directions and dance moves. After our snack, we played a great game of Captain on Deck, and then played some telephone! It was very interesting to see how our sentences changed as they went around our circles. We have lots more to do, so we look forward to another cool day tomorrow! Another awesome day at Spotlight camp! We learned a new song, finished up a dance, and played some great games! Today we started off with some dancing to the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Then we played a game to learn everyone's name where we had to trade places with someone by saying their name! Once we were nice and warmed up, we finished up and performed our Statue Stories, which were all awesome and very creative. We continued to rehearse our Wipeout dance, then started learning how to sing Surfin' USA! Finally, we finished up with a game of Captain on Deck! All in all, a great and productive day!
