Today is our third day at Spy Camp!!! The plot thickens with our mystery villain, Agent X. Yesterday, he switched all the logos we made on Monday with ones of his own! In order to find our logos, we had to clap out rhythms Agent X left behind! Thank goodness all our spies are excellent clappers! Tuesday was also music day, and Agent Susan brought in lots of musical instruments for our spies to use. We had a great time and learned a lot!! I am so excited that this years camp is a spy theme. When I lived in Washington, D.C. I worked at The International Spy Museum so it is great to be back in a spy atmosphere. At the museum, there is an exhibit called Operation Spy where we would take groups of 15 people through an actual spy mission. The mission takes place in the fictional country of Khandar and it has been discovered that a nuclear triggering device has gone missing and the group is in charge of finding it. While on the mission, the group does secret surveillance on a top secret conversation, decodes an encrypted phone call, sneaks into an underground office and searches for clues and interrogates a suspected double agent. While working at the museum, I was in charge of leading the groups through Operation Spy as their Operations Officer. The museum is also full of spy gadgets that have been used by real life spies. You are also given a secret identity that you must use through out your visit in the museum. So if your little spy enjoys Spy Camp and you happen to be in Washington, D.C., the International Spy Museum is definitely worth a visit!! Follow the link to the museums website for more information or go to their Facebook page for fun facts about Spies! http://www.spymuseum.org/ https://www.facebook.com/IntlSpyMuseum Happy Spying!!! -Anne
